2021 Corvette Gets New Contoured Liner Protection Package
By Sam McEachern on May 5, 2021
Chevrolet has introduced a new Contoured Liner Protection Package for the 2021 Corvette Stingray, making it simpler for customers to order the right cargo and floor mats for the mid-engine sports car.
The Contoured Liner Protection Package carries RPO code PEF and is an LPO-level dealer-installed accessory available for the 2021 Corvette. The package is priced from $335 and includes the following:
- (CAV) contoured cargo area liners with Jake logo, Genuine Corvette Accessory
- (RIA) all-weather floor liners with Jake logo, Genuine Corvette Accessory
The contoured cargo area liners are rubber mats for both the front and rear trunk areas in the C8 Corvette and offer some additional protection and can protect the carpeted cargo sidewalls from damage when loading in golf clubs, a small cooler or other common objects. As an added bonus, the liner features an embedded Jake logo – which is the skull motif that serves as the Corvette Racing team's official mascot.
The all-weather floor liners, meanwhile, are contoured to the shape of the C8 Corvette's floor and help protect the vehicle's carpeted floors from mud, dirt, grime and damage. Like the cargo area liner, they also feature embossed Jake skull logos. Both the contoured cargo liner and all-weather floor liner are Genuine GM accessories, of course.
As a reminder, the 2021 Corvette is priced from $60,995 including destination for the Coupe model in the entry-level 1LT trim. The Contoured Liner Protection Package adds $335 to the vehicle's price tag, which would bring the total to $61,330 for a vehicle equipped like this. The 2021 Corvette is powered by a 6.2L LT2 V8 engine producing 495 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque with the optional performance exhaust equipped. The LT2 V8 routes power to the rear wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.
