2021 Corvette Z51 Performance Package Gets Price Increase

General Motors officially debuted the 2021 Corvette earlier this month, confirming a few updates and changes over the initial 2020 model-year vehicle. Among the changes is a price bump for the popular Z51 Performance Package, which now costs $5,995, a $995 increase.
The price increase does not include any changes to the package’s contents. As before, the 2021 Corvette Z51 Performance Package is offered on all models and trims, and comes with the following features:
- Z51 performance suspension
- Performance exhaust
- Performance rear axle ratio
- Electronic Limited Slip Differential (eLSD)
- Z51 rear spoiler
- Front splitter
- 245/35ZR19 front and 305/30ZR20 rear high-performance tires
- Heavy-duty cooling system
Critically, the Magnetic Selective Ride Control suspension (RPO code FE2) previously only offered with the Z51 Performance Package is now available as a standalone option across all trim levels, which is great news for those buyers who simply want the suspension without all the other components of the package.

Back in May, it was reported that production of the 2021 Corvette was pushed back to November, with some lingering 2020 model-year orders pushed back to the 2021 model year. We’ll have a follow-up post on how the package price increase will affect customers with a 2020 Corvette Z51 order that has been delayed to the 2021 model year, so stay tuned.
As a reminder, the 2021 Corvette is powered by the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 LT2 engine, which connects to the M1L eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission co-developed with Tremec. The vehicle is built on the mid-engine Y2 platform, with production taking place exclusively at the GM Bowling Green Assembly Plant in Kentucky.
